Half-term Map Reading Fun for Children

map reading made fun.jpg

Families or children will be invited to join forces in pairs or teams to find natural and man-made features in the landscape using grid references and the four cardinal directions. There may even be a letterbox or two to find along the way! A photo on their phone (or yours!) will be proof that the object has been located. And each object found will piece together to solve a picture puzzle.

Join us for a fun and active morning where children will be encouraged to work without direct supervision, giving them a sense of independence and adventure.

Map reading is a life-long skill that can be applied to walking, running, or just enjoying the great outdoors together. (It also helps once you’re old enough to drive a car too!)

Recommended age-range: 7-12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets

Price: £10 per child. Group size is limited so pre-booking is essential.
