Wild Foods Foray - Steward Community Woodland

Dartmoor's Daughter is again partnering with Daniel Thompson-Mills, Wild food Practitioner and Teacher, to share the joys of finding and eating wild foods. This foray around Steward Wood will open the world of edible spring plants to those who wish to discover and share knowledge.

You will learn:
* The benefits of foraging
* The Golden Rules of foraging
* Classifying plants by family
* Some medicinal uses of plants
* Wild food recipes
* The basics of preserving foods

You will, of course, sample lots of yummy wild goodies, both fresh and preserved, and be introduced to many guidebooks and websites on the subject.

Daniel Thompson-Mills has been living at Steward Wood as part of the low impact eco-community there for 17 years. He has been a wild food practitioner and teacher for 20 years. He has a passion for facilitating nature connection and as well as teaching bushcraft and nature awareness skills, he is an archery instructor.
