Dartmoor Myths & Legends Lunch at Gidleigh Park

gidleigh myths and legends.jpg

Savour an outstanding three-course lunch with a glass of wine before joining local guide and expert, Emma Cunis of Dartmoor's Daughter, at Gidleigh Park for a fascinating talk as she tries to unravel the mysteries of Dartmoor's famous myths and legends over coffee and petits fours.

Inside every seemingly strange story of witches, black dogs, and ghostly happenings on Dartmoor is a small kernel of truth. What are the real stories behind the devil scooping up a young tin miner at Widecombe church, the Hairy Hands, Faithless Wives of Chagford, Hound of the Baskervilles, Bowerman’s Nose, Hound Tor and more?
