Sacred Sites on Dartmoor - Online Talk (postponed from 17th March)

Dartmoor has the largest concentration of stone rows in Britain as well as many stone circles, standing stones, tor-covered cairns, and burial chambers. Some of these extraordinary prehistoric monuments are standalone but many are organised together in patterns, so these places often invite more questions than offer answers. And what natural features might have been considered sacred before the monument building? Taking an archaeological as well as phenomenological approach, we’ll explore context and theories.
