Join us for a stunning circular walk to majestic Watern Tor. Along the way, we will enjoy an ancient stone circle, tin-streaming ruins, a beautiful river, as well as local myths and legend.
This walk is offered as part of the Dartmoor Walking Festival.
LEVEL: MODERATE - Approximately 12km or 7 1/2 miles. You must be comfortable spending a day walking in hilly and open moorland terrain. (Route is dependent on weather conditions and group pace).
LOCATION: The Grassy car parking area just after ‘Round Pound’; near Batworthy in the moor above Chagford. National Grid Reference: SX663868. Driving directions/any final details will be emailed approximately a week before the walk; please remember to check your junk email folder.

FEE: This walk is offered as part of the *Dartmoor Walking Festival so a minimum £10 donation is requested please for Devon Air Ambulance.
Group size is limited so pre-booking is essential. This event is for aged 16 and over
CANCELLATION: The event will go ahead come rain or shine. If you wish to cancel your ticket you have the opportunity to leave your donation to the DAA.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Sturdy walking boots/shoes; warm layers; sunscreen; waterproof jacket and trousers (whatever the forecast); walking poles if you have them; drink/flask, snack and picnic lunch.
