Dartmoor’s Industrial Archaeology - Online Talk

unnamed (19).jpg

Dartmoor has been manipulated for thousands of years by humans to suit our needs. Join Emma for an online, illustrated journey through time focusing on the success and failures of entrepreneurs quarrying for granite and china clay; mining copper, tin, arsenic, and silver; making ice, lime and gunpowder; and digging peat. With just a couple of remaining mines/quarries left, nature has swiftly taken back over.
