Join us on a voyage through the solar system. Take your seat in our spaceship (some imagination required) and prepare for launch! Blending puppeteering with animation and shadow puppetry, this is a family-friendly event and we encourage you to ask lots of space-themed questions.
Once our voyage is over, we'll head out onto Dartmoor for a short walk to watch one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year. Telescopes and other stargazing equipment will be on hand so you can take some time to look at star clusters, galaxies and nebulae.
It'll be a chilly evening so wear lots of warm layers, hats, gloves, etc, but it'll be worth it. The Geminids are one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year. Entering our atmosphere at a slower speed than other annual meteor showers, they generally burn brighter and for longer creating long arcs of vivid colours across the sky.
CLOUDY SKIES PLAN: If the weather isn’t favourable, we will stay inside for more fun and games.
