Stone Circles on Dartmoor (Online Talk)

Dartmoor has 22 stone circles (that we know of), the largest concentration of stone rows in Britain as well as many stone circles, standing stones, and burial chambers. Some of these extraordinary prehistoric monuments are standalone but many are organised together in patterns, so these places often invite more questions than offer answers. Taking an archaeological as well as phenomenological approach, we’ll explore context and theories with a particular focus on stone circles.
